Trentadue Chocolate Amore
This opulent dessert wine is made with merlot grapes. Borrowing from the traditions of port making, the winery adds neutral grape spirits to stop fermentation, trapping a percentage of sugar in the wine. Once Chocolate Amore is finished aging and is ready for bottling, it is infused with a tiny amount of natural chocolate extract to the final blend, creating the perfect marriage of food and wine. Great over vanilla ice cream or as a stand-alone dessert.

Trentadue La Storia Cabernet Sauvignon
a dense ruby-purple color followed by abundant varietal aromas and flavors of blueberries, blackberry, and black licorice with hint of herbs and minerals. The predominately French oak aging contributes aromas of cocoa dust, vanilla and smokey maple. The mouth feel is medium dense, fresh and juicy with balanced acidy and very soft tannins for a young wine. The alcohol content is balanced and the acidity is relatively high suggesting excellent longevity for this wine. Drink now or age for 5-7 years.

Trentadue La Storia Cuvee 32
Dark red color, bright fruit and firm acidity and well-structured tannins destined to age well. Intense cherry/cassis aromas contributed by the Sangiovese followed by deeper red fruit aromas of plums, blueberry, and a hint of pomegranate. Typical for the blend is an enticing mixture of herbs and spices making the wine particularly enjoyable with Italian style food. With more air the wine shows more complex yet still in developing stage aromas and flavors of cocoa, cinnamon, leather, and black licorice. The mouth feel is medium to full with relatively high, food friendly acidity and a long and fresh finish. Drink now through 2028.

Trentadue La Storia Merlot
The main aromas and flavors are of dark cherry, plums, a bit of black licorice and herbs. The new oak barrels contribute a touch of vanilla, brown sugar, cocoa dust and toast. On the mouth the wine is soft and viscous, balancing the acidity and the tannins well for such a young wine. The finish is long and soft with suggestion of sweetness backed by ripe tannins. This wine will age well and will reward your patience if stored well in the next 3-6 years.

Trentadue La Storia Zinfandel
The wine is bright and lively with concentrated “Zini” aromas of dark cherry, blueberry and plums and some of the typical raisins aromas. The fine oak barrel aging brings in subtle aromas of vanilla, maple, cinnamon and slight toast and smokiness. The mouth feel is solid, with medium to full body and very soft and elegant tannins that accentuate the wine’s long and juicy finish with lively acidity. Zinfandels when balanced are very versatile food pairing wines with broad range and this wine will satisfy your palate with many of your favorite dishes. The wine is delicious now but with some patients and proper aging in 2-5 years it will be even better.

Old Patch Red is predominately Zin blended with Petite Sirah and Carignane resulting in very fruity yet complex and full-bodied Rhone- like style wine. The wine has dark red color with intense black cherry aromas, blueberries, and cherry cola as an immediate impression. With aeration nuances of ripe plums, vanilla and cocoa are showing with slight dose of oak and toast. On the mouth the wine is fresh and juicy with youthful brightness, finishing long and fruity. This is a wine that will pair well with variety of foods, but it is also very enjoyable on its own. Our 2019 OPR is delicious now but it will reward your patience with 2-5 years of aging.

Moderately “grassy”, with more citrus and apple fruit and traces of gooseberry, melon and fig aromas. The body is light to medium and focused, with obvious richness, finishing on refreshingly high notes of acidity and minerality. The wine was slowly fermented at cold temperature to preserve more of the aromatics and acidity as well as achieving fuller and viscous body. No oak was used during the aging. Enjoy this wine chilled with your favorite sea food or fruit and cheese plates.
